May Currently

I am so excited to link up with the amazing Farley for the world's greatest linky.  I absolutely love this month's "Currently".  The colorful design is amazing and it makes me happy to just look at it!

Listening: I woke up early in hopes of finishing my "Currently" post before school.   The house is quiet except for the gentle snoring of my dog.

Loving: I wanted to join the teacher blogging community for the opportunity to collaborate with amazing teachers.  It has become better than I could have ever imagined.  To my newest blogging besties, The Inspired Owl, The Dirt Road Teacher, The Busy Busy Hive, Teach Two Reach, The Reddish Brown Crayon, and the Grace-Filled inspire and motivate me to be a better teacher each and every day!

Thinking: My class will be performing the Sid Shuffle/Continental Drift at the school's talent show at the end of the month.  What do you think about these?

Wanting: I just need a little fairy to come and finish the endless pile of paperwork that is accumulating as the school year comes to an end.  I usually try to stay caught up on all the paperwork, but it seems like I can't get ahead this year.  And...when the fairy finishes at school, maybe she could stop by my house and do a little cleaning on her way out of town!

Needing: The class science fair project is complete but we haven't completed the display board.  We need to complete that soon....AND finish our Mother's Day gifts.  I hope they turn out as cute as I have envisioned!

Surprise:  Last week, my class enjoyed working with The Inspired Owl's Dog and Cat grammar unit.  This week, I have been amazed by the quality of  her Tall Tale Unit.
In past years, I have had to struggle to find resources to teach the content standards that covered Tall Tales.  However, this unit has everything I could ask for and my kids have loved hearing some of the classic Tall Tales this week.
I would love for you to check out her blog....I promise you won't be disappointed!

  1. First of all, I discovered your blog today via Farley's linkup (which I agree, is the greatest!) and I love your design! I am a huge dog-lover! My blog is actually named after my dog, Daisy. hehe.

And secondly, I used those SAME hats in a production I choreographed at a summer camp a couple of years ago. They worked out great and for as inexpensive as they are, they held up nicely. Good luck with the talent show!
