I can't believe that it is already April....March seemed to fly by! I wish I could say the same about today....the first day of STAAR testing. Why is it that testing days seem twice as long as any other day??? I could write an entire blog post on standardized testing. I will save that for another time, but I did want to share this thought provoking comic because sometimes a picture is all you need to make a point.
I think it is safe to say that I could answer this way from March until October. If the Rangers are playing, we are watching and/or listening.
I love all things baseball....especially watching my not so "little" boy play. It is hard to believe that he is in his last season of Little League....where has time gone? If you are as big of a baseball fan as I am (or even if you are not), you will want to enter this amazing giveaway.....$25 TPT Gift Card, $15 in Jamberry, and 2 units to put a little baseball fun in your classroom. How great is that? Click on the image below for your chance to win.
When I started this blogging journey, I had no idea how many amazing people I would meet. This month I was particularly honored to work with Coast to Coast Kinder, Art by Jenny K, Teach to Reach, Dirt Road Teacher, and The Inspired Owl. If you haven't checked out these ladies' blogs...you really should!
I left school yesterday with tears in my eyes because my principal announced that she was retiring. I have only been at this school for three years, but I have could not have asked for a more supportive principal. I was not as lucky at my previous school and learned the hard way how important a principal is to the overall health of the learning community. My principal is finishing her 38th year in education.....which is quite an accomplishment! I hope she is able to enjoy the retirement that she has most definitely earned, but she will be terribly missed!
Has anyone seen my motivation? I sure can't find it!!! The list of things that I can find to distract me from my homework is endless. I am so ready to graduate and be done with writing research papers....I would much rather create for my kiddos!
