Five for Friday: A Peek at My Week

The week after Spring Break is always tough, but some great things happened this week.  Take a peek....
The week started off with finding these cute shoes on the clearance rack.  I am always on the lookout for comfortable shoes that don't leave my feet throbbing or blistered and so far these shoes are passing the test!

My students added their monthly writing to their writing portfolios this week.  Thanks to Art with Jenny K for the template we used for the illustration.
The kids wrote about what they would do if they had a pot of gold.  I just love reading some of their heartfelt responses about how they would spend their money on helping others.
These rainbows made an appearance after a storm early in the week.  Rainbows have always had a special meaning to me so it was exciting to see a full rainbow and a double rainbow in the same day.
We continued working with nonfiction text. My kids loved this Nonfiction Animal Unit from Meet Miss Parker
I am so proud to see how well my students are doing with their independent close reading.  They have come so far this year!
The week ending with bowling in PE.  This is always one of the kid's favorite units and it will culminate with a Family Bowling Night next week.

How was your week?
